Lobolo
Camp – Lake Turkana, Kenya
The camp is located on the western shores
of Lake Turkana in North Western Kenya in Turkana County.
(Geographical
coordinates are 3.333N and 35.949E). Altitude 350M above see level.
Lobolo, in Turkana
language means “a place of abundant water” and true to it’s name, its an oasis
with many water springs that keeps it alive and beautiful. Doum palms forest
abound.
The camp
The camp has 8 tents with ensuite tiled
toilette and shower area that were designed to give maximum view of the lake
and far horizon, maximum breeze and comfort. The tents are elevated to give a
vantage view level and are well sealed against insects or any unwelcome
intruder.
The camp runs mainly on generator
electricity, and M3 square pin socket extension of 220 volts 13 amps and another with USB are available in the tents for your electrical needs.
Meals are served from our open sided (360
degrees) dining tent, and the meals, made from fresh foods cater for all
dietary needs with plenty of vegetables, fresh salads and fruits.
Phone Signal is intermittent and unreliable and therefore no WI-FI.
We have the biggest swimming pool ever - The Lake.

We are closed in April, May and November.
